Hilde Frodl attended the School of Applied Arts in Graz and from 1932 to 1938, she taught a specialist class for fabric painting at this institution. In the autumn 1947, and in spring 1948, Frodl spent a long time in Nötsch as a student of Anton Kolig. Important suggestions from Anton Mahringer.
At the end 1947, Member of the Carinthian Art Association.
1950, Austrian State Prize – recognition award for painting.
1952, 1953, 1956, Promotional awards from the city of Klagenfurt, the municipal associations of Carinthia and the Carinthian government.
1955, she lived in Paris,
1960, „School of vision“ under the direction of Oskar Kokoschka in Salzburg.
Regular participation in the exhibitions of the Artists Association in Austria and abroad as well as personal exhibitions in Graz and Klagenfurt.
1952 to 1974, Frodl taught at middle schools in Klagenfurt Kunstverein to make a living . The landscapes of Carinthia and the Mediterranean areas such as Friuli and Dalmatia were her preferred subject, in addition, she created a series of flower pieces and still lifes, as well as portraits.
